The Election Board met and Certified the Results of the Election as follows :

RE: NOTICE TO VOTERS OF CERTIFIED CANDIDATES
The 2007 Sauk-Suiattle Indian Tribe's Election Board met on October 24, 2007. Candidacy Application Forms were reviewed for sufficiency in accordance with the Sauk-Suiattle Indian Tribe's Election Ordinance, Article 7. Based on the information received by the Applicants, the Election Board certified the following individuals as candidates in the 2007-2008 General Election:

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ELECTION BOARD OF
THE SAUK-SUIATTLE INDIAN TRIBE
WHEREAS, the Sauk-Suiattle Election Ordinance Articles 6 Candidacy Section 6.03 Certification and Section 6.04 Notice to voters of Certified Candidates
allows the Election Board to certify candidates and Notify voters of the certification; and
WHEREAS, the Election Board certifies the following candidates for the election on December 3, 2007, as follows:
1. Bigby, Rachel M.
2. Carrigan, Cammie
3. DeCoteau, Nancy
4. Joseph, Norma A.
5. Mabee, Janice W.
6. Metcalf, Jim T.
7. Metcalf, Lyda
8. Misanes, Jr. Raymond A.
9. Roberts, James D.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Election Board certifies these candidates and will notify all voters of the above mentioned candidates.
The above resolution was adopted by the Election Board pursuant to the Election Ordinance at the meeting on October 24, 2007, with a quorum present, by vote of 2 For, 0 Against, 1 Abstain, and 2 Absent.

September 1, 2007 ELECTION NOTICE
Dear Sauk-Suiattle Tribal Member:
First, you may only vote by MAIL IN BALLOT. There will be no polls on Election Day. Election Day is MONDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2007. This is the last day to submit your ballot, Postmarked or Hand Delivered by the end of the business day to the Sauk-Suiattle Indian Tribe Administrative Building, 5318 Chief Brown Lane, Darrington, WA 98241.
Second, VOTER REGISTRATION FORMS ARE MANDATORY. Your completed Voter Registration Form must be on file in order to receive a ballot. It is very important for you to complete the enclosed Voter Registration Form if you did not do so last year. If you completed a Voter Registration Form last year, you do not need to complete one again, unless you need to update your address. If you are unsure whether you have a Voter Registration Form on file, contact the Election Board. A Voter Registration Form is included in this Packet.

The Election Ordinance was enacted September 26, 2006 by resolution # 09/27b/06. The Election Ordinance is available here on the tribal web site.
The 2007 General Elections are to fill the following vacant terms:
1. Cammie L. Carrigan 3 year Term
2. Janice W. Mabee 3 year Term
3. James D. Roberts 3 year Term
